
We built this Deep UVC lamp for the places that need serious, non-negotiable sterilization—think factories, busy processing lines, anywhere that surfaces and air have to be wiped clean, over and over, without fail. This isn’t a do-everything lamp. It’s a specialist, built from the ground up to deliver the raw UV punch needed to knock out microbes in high-speed environments.
What’s under the hood
Here’s the straight talk on the specs: it runs on high voltage and packs a ton of power into a small footprint. We made it 300mm long so it slips neatly into tight reflector setups and short dwell paths. The high wattage? That’s what gives you the photon density to run fast, repeatable disinfection cycles. You get strong output right at the germicidal wavelength. But—and this matters—you have to match the ballast and wiring to the lamp’s electrical needs. If you undersize the driver, you’re practically inviting early failure. Don’t do that to yourself.
Materials that earn their keep
We chose a quartz envelope because it lets deep UV through cleanly and handles rapid heat-up and cool-down without blinking. The internal coating is there for a reason: it pushes UV emission higher and keeps output stable over time, so intensity stays consistent between maintenance. And the R7s connector? That was deliberate. It gives you solid contact, handles the current, and makes this a true drop-in replacement for the fixtures you already use. It’s the kind of connection that keeps working through vibration and the wear and tear of frequent lamp changes.
Where it shines—and what to watch
On the shop floor, this setup runs reliably in conveyorized systems, air handling units, and process enclosures. High output, compact size, and standard R7s wiring make retrofits straightforward and keep machine downtime low. One trade-off: that power density creates noticeable heat at the lamp surface. So you need proper cooling and good fixture ventilation. Do that, and you protect the lamp and keep it living up to its rated life.
